Terms of Service

By accessing or using Kredz (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Kredz is operated by MHB Software, LLC (“Kredz, ” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

• You must be an adult. To create an account and a family, you must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and you must affirm this when you sign up.
• Roles. The adult who creates a family is its admin. Admins can configure rules, record transactions, manage members, and invite additional caregivers. Children added to a family have a strictly read-only login that can view only their own balance and the family’s rules.
• Adding a child. Only an admin can add a child. By adding a child, you represent that you are the child’s parent or legal guardian (or have authority to act on their behalf) and you consent to the minimal child information described in the Privacy Policy.
• Account security. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
• Accurate information. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to access another family’s data, or to circumvent the Service’s security or access controls.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service except as permitted by law.
• Upload content that is unlawful, harmful, or that infringes the rights of others.
• Use the Service to collect personal information about children beyond what the Service is designed for.
• Resell or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your family’s personal, non-commercial use. Kredz, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by MHB Software, LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. The data you enter about your family remains yours; you grant us the limited rights needed to host and operate the Service for you.

Kredz is a paid subscription service offered with a free trial. The following terms apply to billing.

• Free trial. New families may start with a free trial (currently 14 days). A payment method may be required to begin the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription automatically begins and your payment method is charged at the start of the paid period.
• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions are sold on a recurring basis (for example, monthly or annually) and automatically renew at the then-current price at the end of each billing period unless you cancel beforehand. By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment processors to charge your payment method on each renewal.
• Family-level entitlement. One subscription covers the whole family — the admin who pays, any invited caregivers, and read-only children — with no per-seat charge.
• How you’re billed. If you subscribe on iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch, your purchase is processed by Apple through your App Store account, and Apple’s billing, renewal, and cancellation terms apply. If you subscribe on the web, your purchase is processed by Stripe (managed via RevenueCat).
• Cancellation. You can cancel at any time. For Apple purchases, manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID / App Store settings; for web purchases, cancel from your account settings in Kredz. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access through the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
• Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and partial periods are not refunded. For purchases made through Apple, refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. For web purchases, contact support@kredz.app and we will review refund requests in good faith.
• Price changes. We may change subscription prices. We will give you advance notice of any price change, and it will take effect on a subsequent renewal; you may cancel before it applies.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Kredz is a tool for tracking family credits and is not financial, legal, or parenting advice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MHB Software, LLC and its officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State in which MHB Software, LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to first try to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at support@kredz.app. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in that State, except where applicable law provides otherwise. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have that cannot be waived under applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use of Kredz after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
